Projects

All current exploration and mining projects are held 100% by Opal Horizon Limited and are situated in southwestern Queensland. In the past the Company has operated exploration projects in South Australia and New South Wales and has mined opals from one of its discoveries at Lightning Ridge in New South Wales.

Lina Glen Project

This project currently consists of a Mining Lease containing two large opal deposits, Raindance and The Big Girl. The Raindance deposit began operation in 2008 and produces high quality pipe and boulder opal. The Big Girl deposit will begin operation in 2009.

An Exploration Permit surrounds the Mining Lease.

Kurran Project

Two large opal prospects, Sunrise and Sunset, were discovered at Kurran by Opal Horizon Limited during a drilling campaign in 2007. While further evaluation of these deposits is required, there is also potential for further discoveries in the area surrounding them.

Opalton, Evergy and Thylungra Projects

These project areas are awaiting grant.
